We are convinced that God has not called us to simply reach Brazil, but to reach the world through Brazil. His desire is for every local church to be a new beginning for missionary activity. We, therefore, intend on reaching the five types of people groups in Brazil by means of the Brazilian laborers that God provides. The work is and always will be too big for us. We depend on Heaven’s increase. May the Lord let the sun shine and rains fall upon the seed sown and may it bring forth fruit abundantly to His glory!
The Apostle Paul heard in a vision a man of Macedonia say, “Come over and help us.” We believe each of the five types of people groups in Brazil have their own call to us.
- The Unknown People Groups
“We never have been found by the outside world. Search for us.”
- The Uncontacted People Groups
“We never have been contacted by the outside world. Introduce yourselves to us.”
- The Unengaged People Groups
“We never have had a missionary come to us. Teach us.”
- The Unreached People Groups
“We never had an indigenous local church. Disciple us.”
- The Unmobilized People Groups
“We never have had our local church motivated to enter into world evangelism. Exhort us.”
Explore the Unknown: With David Livingstone as our model, we should make effort to discover every people group in Brazil and around the world.
Engage the Uncontacted: With Jim Elliot as our model, we should go to the people on earth who are without outside influence and contact them.
Evangelize the Unengaged: With Hudson Taylor as our model, we should take the gospel to every person in a people group that has had no missionary presence.
Establish a Local Church Among the Unreached: With Shubal Stearns as our model, we should set up an indigenous church among every people group.
Energize the Unmobilized: With John Mott as our model, we should set churches ablaze for missionary work through preaching both at home and abroad that they can join us in world evangelism.
