Our hope of God’s forgiveness and eternity in Heaven rests on the Bible’s declaration of Jesus Christ. We would have nothing without the Bible. Therefore, we greatly desire to stand plainly on all the Bible teaches, recognizing it to be the very Word of God preserved and available for us to this day. It may not reveal all God knows, but it reveals all He wants us to know. Central to our understanding of the Bible is our understanding of the Gospel. The Gospel rests on these truths.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the progressive revelation of God, perfect in its origin and preserved unto this present day, for our continual learning, patience, comfort and hope that men might be wise unto salvation, sound in doctrine, reproved, corrected, and instructed in righteousness.

The God of the Bible is the one true and living God, the only Creator, the only Sustainer, without equal, interested and active in His creation, revealing Himself to be holy, just, loving, and good, against sin and Satan, desiring to be glorified in all the earth, and willing to redeem sinful man for which cause He sent the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, very God of very God, the perfect image of the invisible God, born of a virgin, born under the law, without sin, the sinner’s substitute, man’s only hope of salvation, crucified, buried, risen again, alive for evermore, interceding on the behalf of saints, seated at the right hand of His Father, preparing a place for His children in glory, soon to return in the clouds to rapture His church, after which He will come again bodily to earth just as He left to establish His thousand year kingdom, for whom we wait being guided by His Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is coequal, coexistent, and eternally existent with God the Father and God the Son, and was active in creation, in Old Testament Israel and now in the New Testament church, by whose filling and enduing with power the church sees her brightest glory (exalting Jesus Christ); He also sends and emboldens Gospel preachers, reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, reveals God to the world, and through whom saints are sealed until the day of redemption, evil is restrained, and fruit is produced in submitted believers so that sinners might be reproved, redeemed and brought into the service of Jesus Christ through local churches.

The Local Church is God’s appointed institution through which He is doing His work of perfecting saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till the members all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that the members avoid false doctrine and deceivers; but rather, by speaking the truth in love, and their gifts jointly strengthening one another, they may grow up in all things into Christ their head: that they might glorify God by revealing Christ and reconciling sinful man to God through Him.

Man is conceived in sin, born bound by a natural propensity to sin, and being in such a state brings himself into condemnation, with no hope in himself, and should be brought the Gospel of Jesus Christ by which he will be saved if received in faith, and afterward should abandon himself to Jesus Christ and from his former sinful lifestyle to bring glory to God and return love to Jesus Christ, which is a change wrought in him through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
