We are so grateful for you continued prayers. This Sunday we had the wonderful privilege of baptizing two ladies that we have worked with for a long time. Both of them have family members in our church, who have continued to pray for their salvation.
One of these ladies, Layanna, has been prayed for, for over 10 years. She was a spiritualist, (one who uses the Bible to teach reincarnation and to talk to the dead), up until fairly recently, but the death of her own brother woke her up to her need of Jesus! Her salvation is just another reason see the new birth as genuine miracle!
The other lady, Vera, allowed me to host a Bible study in her home every week for about six months. She struggled at first understanding salvation, but eventually came to terms with what God’s grace is all about. It was no easy thing for her to step out and be baptized, particularly because of her home situation. She made the step, however, and we remain in awe at her effort to stand up for her faith in Christ!
Both morning and evening services were very well attended. We had a wonderful day seeing the Lord work. It’s it wonderful to consider what the Lord is doing here? In early 2012 we had never even been to this region of Brazil, and now in 2017 there is an Independent Baptist Church that is seeking the lost and seeing them saved! May God be praised! Your prayers and support have not been in vain!

Please continue to pray for these dear ladies and also for our entire work. Others are expressing interest in knowing Christ, being baptized and joining our church. We need the mind of the Lord so that we may handle each sheep as the Great Shepherd would.
